Pay-back time

As we move towards the introduction of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC), the mandatory emissions trading scheme which comes into being in April 2010, many organisations will be considering how to reduce their energy consumption and therefore their carbon footprint.

After all, some estimates put the difference between the bonus and the penalty depending on where a company is in the ‘Performance League’, in the several tens of thousands of pounds.
