Durable presents blast protection seminar in Belfast

Durable is organising an important seminar in Belfast covering the threats represented by terrorist activity and the specific risks created by architectural glass. The event, which is being put on in collaboration with the Belfast Police, Counter Terrorist Security Advisory Branch, takes place in the Europa Hotel, Belfast BT2 7AP on Thursday 1 December.

Mark Towner of Durable will be presenting the case for anti-fragmentation window film as the essential basic protection for people, and to restrict collateral damage.

Durable is in good company as the supporting presentation team includes international consultant Chris Philips who will cover the specific risks in Northern Ireland and the effects of different types of blasts to surrounding buildings

Global Manufacturer 3M will be illustrating how modern high-technology window film provides many additional benefits and justifies the investment with a payback of the cost in as little as three years through reductions in energy.

Additional speakers will cover blast protection blinds, which are often installed to work in harmony with anti-fragmentation window film, and new glazing system installers.

The seminar is free to representatives of any organisation which could be affected by terrorist activity and their advisers, or consultants in the area.
